Lampinou
Lampinou (Lambinou) is a very small mountainous village on the east side of Pelion. It got its name from the nearby Monastery of Panagia Lampidona which is on the way leading to the sea.
The village of Lampinou is very quiet and away from the tourist flow. It is built on a mountain slope and has panoramic view of the sea which seems close but in fact the distance down to the shore is about 4 km - there is the blue rocky Lampinou beach, locked between high rocks and sheltered from the wind. The village offers a limited number of rooms to rent in small guesthouses, and on the village square (accessible on foot only) there is one cafe-restaurant. The closest mini markets and shops can be found in the area of Tsangarada which is 10 km away.
