Zoodochos Pigi

View from the stairs

This is a beach right to next Milpotamos, often neglected because of its famous neighbor. Its name comes from the church of Zoodochos Pigi which stands on the beach.

Zoodochos Pigi is surrounded by cliffs and it is quite rocky, with small pebbles and boulders instead of sand. The sea bottom around the shore is also rocky and deep, not suitable for people who can`t swim or kids. In windy weather big waves also appear but the advantage of this beach is that it stays relatively isolated even when Milopotamos is crowded. There are no facilities like sunbeds, parasols or beach bars. Behind the church there are a few tables and benches under the shade of trees where you can have a rest.

Zoodochos Pigi is accessible on foot from the parking lot above Milopotamos. If you follow the signs, they will lead you to the stone staircase which goes down to the beach. The distance is short and you need to walk just 10 meters from the parking lot to the staircase.
