Panagia

The beach seen from the road

For sure this is one of the least known and visited beaches of Pelion. It lies on the southwest coast, close to the small quaint village of Kottes.

Panagia is one of the series of small pebbly beaches in this part of the peninsula, located as if in the middle of nowhere. You can see it from the road but in order to access it, you need to descend on a short narrow path. The beach is suitable for isolation, sunbathing and snorkeling, as there are sea rocks next to one of its ends. It is also good for swimming because the sea is always calm here but be aware that the sea bottom is covered with pebbles and rocks around the shore.
