Kalamaki Beach

View from above

Kalamaki beach is located on the east coast of Pelion, under the village of Kalamaki. It is a small pebbly cove with transparent blue water, surrounded by rocks.

You can reach the beach via a narrow paved road from the village of Kalamaki. Once you enter the village, there are signboards to guide you, and you will easily find the way. The road slopes down for 3 km and after some curves and bends it ends at a small parking place - it is right above the beach. Then you should descend on a few steps and you are. The beach has small and big pebbles instead of sand and there are no public facilities - you should bring your own parasol, food and drinks, as there are no cafes, restaurants or mini markets nearby. Kalamaki beach is relatively isolated and its visitors are usually people accommodated in the village. The rocks around are good for snorkeling but only when the sea is calm, in windy weather big waves appear and it may be dangerous to swim.
