Pyrgaki

The pebbly part of the beach

Pyrgaki (or Pirgaki) is one of the largest beaches of Naxos. It lies on the southwest coast, between Aliko and Agiassos. The area is quiet and isolated, with just a few hotels and tavernas.

The good thing about Pyrgaki is that it has a limited number of sunbeds and parasols offered by a beach bar so you will not find yourself in a crowded atmosphere. At the same time, major part of the beach is empty and it is perfect for those who want to be on their own but yet the tavernas are in a close distance for food and drinks. The non-urbanized part of Pyrgaki has sand mixed with small pebbles. The beach bar functions also as a taverna and it is in the south part of the beach, separated in a lovely cove with fine sand and shallow water. The sunbeds and parasols occupy just a small part of it and there is still lots of free space.
