Gerakas

Gerakas beach is considered by some people the most attractive beach of Zakynthos. It lies in the southernmost part of the Vasilikos peninsula and in Laganas bay, part of the National Marine Park of the island.

The beach is long, wide and sandy, with clean shallow water and view to Kalonisi islet. In its far end there are big white cliffs which make the landscape unusual. In some sections of the beach you can see protected nests of Carreta Carreta turtles. Sunbeds and parasols are available to rent, as well as plenty of free space, but the closest restaurants and cafes are 500-600 meters from the beach.
