Banana

Banana is one of the largest beaches on Zakynthos and a very popular one. It is located in the southeast area of Vasilikos peninsula and its location protects is from strong winds, so big waves are rare. Zakynthos town is 15 km away to the north.

Banana beach offers variety of water sports and beach bars. The beach strip is wide in most of its part, with soft sand and shallow green-blue water. It is preferred by all tourists - families with kids, couples and groups of friends. Near Banana you can find a few more smaller sandy coves - Agios Nikolaos, Mavratzis and Porto Roma.
