The small fishing port of Porto Roma lies on the southernmost part of Vasilikos peninsula. It has a narrow strip of sand mixed with pebbles, which is known as one of the quieter and less visited beaches of Zakynthos. There are not much facilities except for a dozen of sunbeds and umbrellas, and one taverna above the beach. The water is shallow around the shore but in some places there are rocks which are clearly visible. The neighbor beach of Mavratzis, which is just a kilometer away, is more sandy but it is smaller and occupied by the sunbeds of a beach hotel.
