Ammoussa

Ammoussa (or Ammousso) is a small beach in the south of Lefkada, close to Vasiliki. A signboard and a good asphalt road will lead you to it from the village of Marantochori.

The beach is pebbly but the water is crystal. Ammoussa is a preferred place by people with small children because there are no waves and it is quiet. There is only one tavern providing sunbeds and umbrellas for a small charge. Note that the pebbles may not very comfortable to lie on directly, if you are used to sandy beaches. Ammoussa is surrounded by rocks from both sides and it is also good for snorkeling. Next to the beach there is one more rocky cove, called Kastri.
