Marantochori

Marantochori (Marandochori) is an inland village halfway between Vasiliki and Sivota, Lefkada island. There is a taverna, cafe and bakery open all year round and a few more open during the summer season. The accommodation options in Marantochori are mostly private villas but there are also a few holiday homes and rooms to rent. The village itself is quiet and suitable for relaxing holiday and enjoying the basic things of the life - good food, good sleep and lazy days.

The closest beaches are Mikros Gialos, Ammoussa and Afteli, with many other smaller coves accessible only via dirt roads. The nearby Vasiliki also has a nice beach but it is mostly known for its winds and windsurf schools. Sivota is the closest harbor for boats and yachts with yacht clubs and tavernas situated along the picturesque promenade. While in Marantochori, do not miss to visit the family run taverna in the nearby village of Evgiros, with a magnificent sea view.
