Agria

The small fishing harbor

Agria is a large fishing village just 7 km away from the center of Volos Town. It is on the west shore and it looks more like a neighborhood of Volos, as both are connected via a few roads, including a coastal road which passes by a cement factory.

Agria is a place where people live all year round and it has supermarkets, small shops, cafes and tavernas. There is no beach in the village excluding a narrow patch of sand beside a couple of tavernas, and some seaside hotels have platforms with sunbeds and parasols for their clients. The fishing harbor is in the center of the village, next to a small pedestrian square with cafeterias. The closest beaches are Platanidia and Malaki, a few kilometers to the south.
