Messakti
Messakti is a long beach close to Armenistis and just next to Gialiskari. It is one of the largest beaches on the island and the most popular both among tourists and locals. In the summer a couple of beach bars operate there, renting sunbeds and parasols. There is also a volleyball net. The beach is entirely sandy but the sea bottom is a bit steep at some places and small kids should be looked after. Sometimes Messakti is exhibited to strong winds and waves and there you can see groups of surfers visiting the beach. In the area and along the main road there are hotels, rooms to rent and restaurants.
