Raches

Raches is a mountainous region in north Ikaria, which includes a few villages. The biggest of them is Christos but it is often called Christos Rachon, Christos Raches or just Raches.

Raches is about 6 km away from Armenistis and the sea. It is built high in the mountain and has 300 permanent citizens. The village square with traditional cafes, tavernas and a local bakery attracts tourists from Aremnistis and the area, especially in the evenings when everything is working until late.
