Tzitzifes

Tzitzifes is an old inland village in Apokoronas area of region Chania, 14 km from the seaside resort of Georgioupoli. It is located at the feet of Lefka Ori (The White Mountain) and its small size and distance from the main island road has kept it away from tourism. The houses are made of stone and the streets are so narrow that most of them do not allow two cars to pass at the same time. There are a few villas to rent, used to be old houses of local residents, two taverns and a cafe.

The nearby village of Fres (2 km) is a bit larger and it has a bakery. It has the same outlook with houses in the old Cretan style and narrow streets.
