The beach of Gyrismata is close to
Skyros Chora but yet it is less popular than the nearby
Molos and
Magazia. It is located on the northeast coast of the island, next to the peculiar rocks of
Pouria and the windmill restaurant.
The beach is sandy and long, so you will definitely find more privacy here. Sunbeds and umbrellas are provided only by one taverna in the far end of Gyrismata where the coastal road ends, and apart from this there are no other facilities. Around the beach there are two more tavernas and scattered hotels and villas. The sea bottom is relatively deep and in windy days the sea is rough, with big waves crashing on the shore.
The center of
Skyros Chora is 5 km away, with various shops, restaurants and cafes, and in Molos there is a big bakery. Near Gyrismata you can visit the emblematic
Church of Agios Nikolaos.
