Mouri

Mouri is the closest settlement to Kournas Lake and it also includes the area of Dimitrouliana. The old part of the village is about 300 meters away from the lake shore, and the new part which consists of hotels, villas, restaurants and souvenir shops is around the east part of the lake. There is also a small beach with gravel, with sunbeds and parasols to rent, as well as pedalos.

Kournas is the only sweet water lake on Crete and the surrounding slopes of Lefka Ori (The White Mountain) reflect on its surface. Georgioupoli resort with its long and wide beach is 6 km away.
