Longos

Longos

Longos (somewhere you can see it as Logos or Loggos) is a small fishing harbor in northeast Paxos, 4 km from Lakka. It is like a mini copy of Lakka but much quieter, with a small promenade with cafes and tavernas. Some of the tables almost touch the boats moored at the harbor. The organized boat trips around Paxos usually stop for a while at Longos or pass very close by it.

In the village there are mini markets and a bakery. Rooms to rent are available, but no big hotels. The beach is next to the harbor - a narrow strip of round pebbles, with crystal clear water, and behind the beach there is an abandoned factory. If you are without a car on the island, you can also visit Longos by bus as the local municipal bus stops by here a few times daily on the way to Gaios or Lakka.

The beach of Levrechio is within walking distance from Longos harbor - less than 200 meters if you follow the coastal road. It is a small pebbly beach with a taverna at the back, surrounded by rocks from both sides. A green hill separates it from the neighbor beach of Marmari.
