Lefokastro

The sefaront of the village

Lefokastro is one of the more isolated villages on the west coast of Pelion peninsula. The best way to reach it is via the main road near Argalasti but it can also be accessed from Afissos, via a very narrow coastal road.

Everything in Lefokastro spreads around the sea and is surrounded by green trees. There are small hotels and guesthouses with rooms to rent, a few tavernas and cafes at the seafront. The beach of the village is small and narrow, with coarse sand and tiny pebbles but the sea bottom slopes gently and there are hardly any wavelets here, the sea is usually very calm and as smooth as a mirror. North and south of the village there are other small and isolated beaches which can be reached just in 5-10 minutes walk, especially if you head toward Afissos - all are just next to the road and the largest of them is called Razi beach.

The promenade of Afissos which is lively both day and night is less than 3 km away via the coastal road and it is suitable for evening walks.
