Fassolou

Fassolou

Fassolou is one of the beaches of Faros, a village in the south of Sifnos island. It is located in a small cove with a line of trees, surrounded by sea cliffs and with view to the Chrisopigi Monastery.

Although Fassolou is a bit out of Faros, it is easily accessible within 5 minutes walk from the harbor or via a road from the village entrance. The beach is sandy but the sea bottom around the shore is covered by flat pebbles which make the water transparent, and the sea surface is usually smooth and calm even in windy days. There is one taverna at the beach which is open for lunch and dinner during the summer.

Next to Fassolou you will notice the white building of the Monastery of Timios Stavros, another place you can reach in a few steps.
