Apokofto

The beach of Apokofto is located in a bay on the south coast of Sifnos, next to Chrisopigi Monastery. It has yellow sand mixed with flat pebbles and shallow blue water around the shore. Instead of umbrellas, visitors use the line of thick trees which almost touch the sea.

Behind the beach there are a few tavernas which cook after local recipes, and a limited number of rooms to rent. Other hotels are available nearby, built on the hill above the monastery. Apokofto is connected with the neighbor village of Faros via a coastal hiking trail with a length of approximately 800 meters - it passes by the church of Agios Charalampos and offers panoramic views.
