Ano Petali is a small traditional settlement of
Sifnos. It looks more like a neighborhood of
Apollonia, located on a hill with a view toward the inner part of the island. You can reach Ano Petali by car via a narrow road which starts from the outskirts of Apollonia and leads to a parking lot. The village is accessible only on foot, with small narrow alleys. You can also visit Ano Petali on foot from
Artemonas or Apollonia - there is a cobbled path with steps which connects the three of them.
Ano Petali is a very quiet place where mainly local residents live. The few hotels are located around the parking lot and there are no shops or restaurants, but the neighbor villages are just within 5-10 minutes walk and in Apollonia you can find anything.
