Agios Sostis

View to the beach from the road to it

The scenic beach of Agios Sostis has become one of the emblematic place of Serifos island. It bears the name of the chapel of Agios Sostis - a small white building on the rocks just above the beach.

Agios Sostis is close to Livadi and Serifos Chora, located between the beaches of Psili Ammos and Lia. It is actually a double beach and consists of two small coves connected with a rock. The beach below the church is larger, covered with sand and pebbles, and with a few trees which in the summer get occupied early in the morning because there are no cantinas around. The other smaller beach is rocky, without natural shade and more secluded, as usually all visitors prefer the sandy patches under the trees.
