Tzasteni

It is not very clear if Tzasteni is the name of a bay, beach or a group of houses located on a small promontory in the sea of south Pelion. But for sure it has become an emblematic spot and symbol of the peninsula, present in all articles devoted to the region.

Tzasteni is located 12 km south from Milina. From the road you will clearly spot the white houses with blue window covers and the vivid blue water in the bay formed between the houses and the narrow strip of pebbles on the shore. Rental boats often stop there. If you want to reach the beach you need to go down on foot via a narrow path among the bushes and trees. The sea is very calm and transparent here, so the houses are often reflected in the sea. There are no beach facilities on Tzasteni.
