The stone shark of Naxos

The stone shark of Naxos is a big stone by the sea which someone successfully painted as a shark. It is located near the harbor of Agia Anna and requires a short walk to see it.

The shark is on the small rocky peninsula between Agia Anna and Maragas beach. You just need to follow the path for the chapel of Agios Nikolaos, the shark is at the highest part of the peninsula which overlooks Agia Anna. The rocks around it are flat and easy to walk on but yet visitors should be careful.
