Kastellos

Kastellos is an old inland village, located close to lake Kournas. It is built on the slopes at the feet of Lefka Ori (The White Mountain) and it has view toward the sea. The closest section of the long beach between Georgioupoli and Paralia Kournas is 6 km away.

Kastellos is peaceful and quiet place, with a few authentic taverns offering Cretan recipes prepared with local products. The traditional village or Argiroupoli with the archeological site of Ancient Lappa is 10 km away.
