Giofirakia

Giofirakia is located close to Heraklion Town. The main road separates it from the villages which form the large seaside resort of Ammoudara. It is an area with private houses, supermarkets and shops along the road. The buildings of the University of Crete are here, as well as the University Hospital of Heraklion which is the largest hospital on Crete and the only university hospital in the Aegean.
