Church of Agios Symeon

Church of Agios Symeon

The church of Agios Symeon is built on one of the highest points of Sifnos. It is mostly visited because of the panoramic view of Kamares, the port of the island.

From Kamares you can see Agios Symeon as a small white building up on the top of the impressive rock behind the beach. It is also illuminated at night and visible from any place of the resort. The road which leads to the church starts from the beach of Kamares and continues for 6-7 kilometers. You can reach it by car or bike, there is a small parking lot at the back of the temple, but keep in mind that the road is narrow and at some places two cars cannot pass at the same time.

The gorgeous view toward Kamares is revealed from the yard of Agios Symeon, and from the area around. Next to the parking lot there is a stone map of Sifnos and the Cyclades.
