Makrirrachi

The main street

Makrirrachi is one of the larger mountainous villages of northeast Pelion. It is located approximately 3 km away from the coast, terrace-built on the slopes of a high hill with great sea view.

Makrirachi is close to the beaches of Agii Saranda and Chorefto (3-4 km) but it has relatively easy access to Agios Ioannis and Damouchari which makes it a suitable starting point for exploring the northeast coast of the peninsula. The village is lively and has a few tavernas, cafes, supermarkets and a small square, all around the main road which passes through Makrirrachi. Zagora is 10 km away.
