Tinos Chora
Tinos Chora (or just Chora) is the capital of Tinos island. Its architecture style is mixed and you can see both cubical Cycladic houses and roofs with red tiles.
At first sight from the ferry Tinos Chora doesn`t look much attractive because the seafront around the port is lined with buildings, different from the typical Cycladic ones. But the charming old neighborhood of Chora is the place where you can feel the old spirit of the capital - car-free, with tiny intersecting alleys, numerous cafes, shops and a nice square. Locals call this neighborhood Pallada and the church of Panagia Evangelistria is close to it.
Staying around Tinos Chora is a perfect choice if you plan to explore the entire island. It has easier access to the south beaches, and within 20 minutes drive you can visit many of the traditional old villages of Tinos, like Kardiani, Triantaros, Arnados, Volax, Dio Choria, etc.
