The almost unknown village of Plataria lies in a deep bay between Syvota and Igoumenitsa. It is used mostly as a yacht port but in the last few years it has started developing as a resort. Plataria has a small center next to the port, with a couple of tavernas and a narrow promenade along the beach. There is also a supermarket and filling station. The beach itself is about 1 km long and sandy, some beach facilities like parasols and sunbeds are offered by two or three beach cafes. Compared to the lively Syvota (10 km away), it is very quiet both in the day and in the evening.
