Patitiri

The capital of Alonnisos, Patitiri, is also the largest settlement and harbor of the island. It is relatively new because it was built by the locals in 1965 after an earthquake ruined the old capital - the mountain village of Alonnisos.

Most of the hotels on the island can be found here, as well as supermarkets, bakeries, cafes and restaurants. There is also one pharmacy, some souvenir shops, car and boat rentals. Near the harbor there is a small sandy beach. Parking may be difficult - like on the other Sporades islands, the streets are steep and narrow.
