Monastery of the Holy Trinity

View from the road

The monastery of the Holy Trinity (Agia Triada) is one of the Meteora rock monasteries. It rises on the top of a high pinnacle above the town of Kalambaka. Compared to the other monasteries, it is a bit remote from its parking lot and you need to walk on a paved path in order to get there. After that you should climb up some stairs carved in the rock.

You can easily reach the parking lot of this monastery from Kalambaka. An entrance fee is required (around EUR 3 per person) and you should be dressed properly - no shorts or sleeveless clothes are allowed. Women with trousers are given long skirts at the entrance. The monastery has a small garden and a small church with frescoes from the 18 century. Photos are allowed on the territory of the monastery except for inside the church.

Currently only one monk lives there. Visiting hours are from 10:00 to 16:00 every day except Thursday.
