Cameo Island
This is not a typical sight but it is an interesting place to see. Cameo is a small private islet next to the harbor of Agios Sostis. In the past it used to be part of the mainland but after an earthquake it separated as a small piece of land in the sea. Cameo is connected with the land via a short wooden bridge. After you pass the bridge, you will see a gate. This is the place where entrance fee is collected (about EUR 5 per person) so you can visit the islet and its small beach with beach bar. The entrance fee includes a drink from the bar and free use of sunbeds, if not occupied.
The beach bar is called Cameo Beach Club, it is small but popular. Its distinguishing feature is the rope with hanging white cloth above the beach. In the last few years it has gained reputation of a hot wedding spot and ceremonies are organized right on the beach.
