Ano Mera

Ano Mera is a village in the inner part of the island, the second largest after Mykonos Town. It is a place where locals live and it is not dead even in winter when the seaside resorts are empty.

At the village square rises up the monastery of Panagia Tourliani, dating back to 16 century, and there you can also find some restaurants, shops and a bakery. Although Ano Mera is not as touristic as the rest settlements on the islands, there are a few hotels and holiday homes because it is close to the beaches of Kalafati and Kalo Livadi.
