Pyrgoudia

Pyrgoudia is a less known beach in Mount Athos, located between Voulitsa and Komitsa. Its name is a bit dubious but most probably it comes from the ruins of the nearby tower of Pyrgoudia.

Unlike the neighbor Voilutsa which has a beach bar, Pyrgoudia has no facilities at all. Behind the beach there are a few summer residences and plenty of trees. The sand is coarse, mixed with pebbles and rocks in the sea.

There are no signboards for Pyrgoudia but you can access it both from Voulitsa and from the road to Komitsa.
