De Bosset Bridge

The pedestrian bridge

De Bosset Bridge is a historical landmark in Kefalonia. It is a pedestrian bridge with a length of 700 meters which connects Argostoli with Drapano on the opposite shore.

The bridge was built in 1813 and it was an idea of the Swiss engineer Charles De Bosset, the then governor of the island. Since 2013 the bridge is open for pedestrians only and it is a popular place for walk both during the day and in the evenings. If you are lucky, you can even spot sea turtles during your walk .
