Mega Ammos

Mega Ammos (auch Megali Ammos) ist der größte Strand rund um Syvota. Es liegt 1,5 km vom Dorf entfernt, in einer Bucht nahe der Küstenstraße.

Der Strand ist breit und bietet Einrichtungen wie Wassersport, Sonnenliegen und Sonnenschirme, die von drei Strandrestaurants bereitgestellt werden. Mega Ammos bedeutet wörtlich „großer Sand“, tatsächlich besteht er jedoch eher aus Kieselsteinen, sowohl am Ufer als auch am Meeresboden. Das Wasser wird schnell tief.

Von Syvota gibt es einen Straßenzug, der mehrmals täglich (im Sommer) nach Mega Ammos und zu den Stränden von Mikri Ammos und Agia Paraskevi fährt.
