Lavkos

Lavkos

Lavkos is one of the larger inland villages of Pelion, located in the south part of the peninsula. It is approximately 6 km away from the seaside resort of Milina and 9 km from the large village of Argalasti.

Lavkos is built on a hill overlooking the Pagasitikos gulf and it has permanent population all year round. It has a plateia (square) with a few restaurants, grill houses and cafes under the shade of large trees. The narrow alleys around the square are pleasant for a walk and reveal a mixture of old and new houses. Grocery stores and bakeries can also be found. The parking lot is on the main road which passes through the village and the central area around the square is accessible only on foot.

Lavkos is closer to the west part of Pelion but is also connected via road to some of the beaches on the southeast coast like Micro, Platania, Katigiorgis and Mortia.
