Galini

Located in a tranquil agricultural area, Galini welcomes visitors with the slow-paced life of a traditional Cyclades village. It lies 7 km away from Naxos Town but being away from the seaside resorts, it represents the non-touristic face of the island.

Galini is very close to Engares and set in the same fertile valley, surrounded by vineyards and fruit trees. There are a few hotels and villas in the outskirts of the village, and in the narrow alleys around the square there are two tavernas. The closest beach is called Amitis and it is 2 km away from Galini, with mixed sand and pebbles and a seasonal cafe. In the area plenty of unknown small coves can be found, accessible via dirt roads and empty even during the high season.
