Church of Agios Dimitrios
The church of Agios Dimitrios is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is devoted to St. Demetrius, the patron saint of Thessaloniki, and hosts his relics.
The church was built over the ruins of ancient Roman bath where St. Demetrius was imprisoned and martyred around 4th century. Today you can visit the Crypt of Agios Dimitrios which is in the undergrounds of the church.
