Dafni is one of the more isolated beaches of Zakynthos, located on the southwest coast of Vasilikos
. It is accessible via dirt road from the main road crossing Vasilikos. The beach is protected as part of the National Marine Park and some sections of it are closes for visitors, and after sunset no access is permitted in order to not disturb the turtles. The nests are surrounded with wooden sticks and you can see many of them on the beach.
Dafni has sand mixed with pebbles around the shore. In the water there are rocks here and there, and the high cliffs next to the beach are suitable for snorkeling. In the bay opposite Dafni stands the islet of Pelouzo (Kalonisi) which is also home for the turtles. Two beach tavernas operate here during the day and they offer a limited number of sunbeds and umbrellas.
