Amarandos Cape

Amarandos Capegalerie
Amarandos is a rocky cape which, along with Agios Ioannis Kastri, has become the symbol of Skopelos with the photos of two lonely trees sticking out of a sea cliff. The cape is located on the southwest coast of the island and reachable via dirt road near Agnontas. The road is in a good condition, suitable for all types of vehicles. You can leave your car right in front of the cape and then you have to continue on foot but it is a short walk through the trees.

A long and narrow canal exists on the place where the cape connect with the land and locals call it "piscina", meaning "the pool", because its deep blue waters are always calm and the color reminds very much of a swimming pool.
