Tripiti

Tripiti

Tripiti is a small port on the main road between Nea Roda and Ouranopoli, in Mount Athos, Halkidiki. From Tripiti runs the only ferry line to Ammouliani island. It takes around 20 minutes to travel between the island and the mainland. In the winter there is ferry on almost every two hours. In the summer the ferry is much more frequent due to the many tourists that visit the island. Tickets are sold on board and the prices are around 2.20 euro per adult and 10 euro for medium size car. At the back side of the port there are big parking spaces and people often leave their cars and visit the Ammouliani on foot.

The beach next to the port is covered with golden coarse sand. Near the port there is organized beach which offers water sport activities during the summer season. At the back of the beach there are a few villas and small family hotels. A kilometer away, in Ouranopili direction, there are two-three bigger hotels with their own organized beaches.
