Tripiti

The Tripiti - Ammouliani ferryboat

Tripiti is a small port on the main road between Nea Roda and Ouranoupoli, in Mount Athos peninsula. Tripiti serves the ferry line to Ammouliani, the only inhabited island of Halkidiki. It takes around 20 minutes to travel between the island and the mainland.

In winter there is ferry on almost every two hours. In the summer the ferry is much more frequent due to the many tourists that visit the island. Tickets are sold on board and the prices are around 2.20 euro per adult and 10 euro for medium size car. At the back side of the port there are big parking spaces and people often leave their cars and visit Ammouliani on foot.

The beach next to the port is covered with coarse yellow sand. In the summer a few beach bars operate there, water sports are available, too.
