Tigani

Tigani beach lies just north of Paralia Tyros, on the east coast of Peloponnese in Arcadia region. It is also known as Fournaka, the name of a large sea cave in the north part of the beach.

Tigani is covered by smooth round pebbles around the shore and the sea bottom is rocky as well. In the summer two beach cafes (one with taverna) operate and offer sunbeds and parasols to rent but nevertheless Tigani is not crowded. The water is very clean and transparent, suitable for snorkeling as well. There are also some water sports facilities available like canoes and pedalos, with which you can explore the shoreline around and even enter the cave of Fournaka, it is big enough to get in. The cave is also accessible by swimming as it is very close to the north end and the shore.

Usually people choose Paralia Tyros for their stay in this area because it offers greater choice of hotels and all the facilities of a village, but at Tigani there is a complex of rooms to rent just behind the beach. The promenade of Paralia Tyros is a few km away.
