Theologos

Years ago the village of Theologos was the capital of Thassos island. Today tourists visit it to see the preserved stone houses with small alleys and feel the atmosphere of past centuries.

Theologos is a relatively large mountainous village located 10 km away from Potos. Besides the houses, there is also a museum and two old churches from 17 century worth seeing. You can taste traditional Greek cuisine with local foods and spices in the several taverns, or buy handmade souvenirs from the small shops.

Near Theologos there is a beautiful small waterfall accessible on foot.
