Tarsanas

Tarsanas

Tarsanas (also Gourgiotis) is a small beach within the limits of the capital Limenas but it is in the westernmost part of it, at the end of the town. It got its name from Tarsanas Hotel, a complex of studios, restaurants and beach bar located right by the sea.

The beach is maintained by the hotel but it is also open for visitors who are not guests of the hotel. The beach bar offers sunbed and parasols which you can use free of charge if you order something to drink. Behind the sunbeds there are high trees which cast extra shadow in the hot summer days. The water is shallow and suitable for small kids, and at the end of the beach there is a small patch of sand surrounded by rocks.

The center of Limenas with it old town is 2 km away from Tarsanas but supermarkets can be found in 800 meters. In this area of the town there are many hotels and guesthouses with large green areas between them, so the place is very good for accommodation if you want to stay at Limenas but yet prefer to sleep in a quiet and peaceful environment.
