Spanochori

Spanochori is a small mountainous village in the Sfakiotes community, Lefkada island. It was one of the villages created by Cretan settlers around 16th century. Spanochori is built mostly around two roads and is seamlessly linked with Lazarata village. The houses are old, made of stone blocks, with wooden window covers and uniform yellowish tiles.

The life in Spanochori seems like stopped, none is in a hurry and everyone enjoys the day to day activities. In and around the village there are a few villas to rent which are perfect for relaxing holiday. Some of these villas offer stunning views towards Lefkada Town and Ionian Sea, where others nestle between the trees away from human eyes.
