Skala Prinos

Skala Prinos

Skala Prinos (also known as Skala Prinou) is a port in the northwest part of Thassos, where ferries from Kavala arrive.

Previously it was only the place where ferries come and go but in the course of years it has developed as a quiet resort. If you are staying in Skala Prinos you can visit the village of Prinos, which is now almost merged with the resort. Prinos is known for its local market which is held once a week, offering natural products from the region - oil, olives and honey.

The beach is narrow, sand mixed with gravel. The new neighborhood of Skala Prinos is known as Dassilio and there you can find more hotels and another long strip of pebbles. Like on the entire western coast, sunsets here are beautiful.
