The beach of Skala Potamia is one of the best on the island, long and relatively wide, predominantly sandy. Locals call it Chrysi Akti (Golden Shore), Chrysi Ammoudia (Golden Coast) and Golden Beach
because of the golden color of the sand. Golden Beach stretches for several kilometers and is considered common for the settlements of Potamia and Panagia. The water is crystal clear and shallow. This is one of the few places in Thassos where you can rent pedalo boats and water ski. Most of the beach is occupied by the sun lounges of the beach bars.
