Skala Panagia

Skala Panagia is a small new resort in the eastern part of the island of Thassos, 14 km away from the capital Limenas. Once ago it was the port of the nearby ancient town of Panagia, but due to the increasing number of tourists in the area, the place has developed as a resort.

Skala Panagia is situated in the northern part of the famous Golden Beach, which is also common to the resort of Skala Potamia. The beach strip consists of fine sand and the sea is shallow and very suitable for children. Water is very clean and most people bring their snorkels with glasses to explore sea life. You can play volleyball or to practice some water sports (water ski, banana).

Hotels here are small and family-run. There are enough restaurants, cafes, mini markets, souvenir shops and bakeries. Twice a day a water taxi passes which travels from Skala Potamia to Limenas, with a stop in Skala Panagia.
